    Was that against Pakistan shortly before the spot fixing some Pakistan players had been taking part in came out? 

    I hope they were't soft bowling at Broady to let him get a century in exchange for brown envelopes. Either way, his century is recorded in Wisden's. 

    Anyway, a good first day's cricket but England need to get these last 2 wickets quickly then their batting done and bowl best part of 10 more before the rain comes at the weekend. By the look of the forecast they've got 2 days to make hay to keep the Ashes alive with 70% change rain all day Sat/Sun so need to get the hard yards done before then.

    Our highest run scorer in this series. Done exactly what he was selected for- not to be consistent but to give us a chance of winning matches when he fires.

    The weather is the biggest risk to maintaining change to win back the Urn as it stands as far as I can see..,tomorrow will be interesting, declaration or bat through, how many runs ahead will England risk before declaring factoring in the weather? 10 wickets to bowl is a lot with poor weather forecast to disrupt play.

    Duckworth/Lewis for Test Matches to ensure a result anyone??

    It's deteriorating.  There were a couple that reared off of a length as well.

    England need to try to bat on and get a good lead so they don't have a significant chase batting last on it - if the weather allows.

    Cummins getting a bit of a pasting in the Aussie papers

     Quick 100 runs this morning - One day mode with Bairstow, Woakes and Wood to come and even Broad can hit 2/3 quick boundaries - Then declare before lunch to bowl around 10 overs 

    Weather is going to be the enemy - Sooner or later Stokes need 10 wickets so get them in asap - Hence a quick extra 100 runs required - T20 mode

    Yep - need to go into T20 mode ASAP - get as many as they can before lunch and bowl these wankers out before the bad weather comes.
