He could well be loaned back to Newcastle - same owners. Or he's waiting for Barcelona, that's where he wants to end up. We don't owe him anything, a real Wolves hero and leaving with legend status.

That’s one way to get round FFP if the loan him back to Newcastle.

I wonder what tempted him to go there ....

Bournemouth just sacked Gary O'Neil.....that's how you thank someone who save you from relegation!

    Graham Potter to step in?

really not a good look at all. Took them from relegation zone to comfortably safe and kept them there.

10 wins and 6 draws since he came in, he over achieved.

Disgraceful IMO - I'd have had him as PL manager of the year - Maybe Cooper and even a good shout for Silva at Fulham - Pep doing what he is paid for and what is expected - But for such sides to deliver Mission Impossible, its a major achievement

On the face of it, it’s a strange decision.   But football is a cut throat business and I think back to when Southampton sacked Nigel Adkins after he got them promoted back to the prem…. And then brought in an unknown fella called Pochettino….

It works both ways, too.    Michael Beale was quite happy to leave QPR in the lurch and join Rangers.

Yeah, really hoping City will learn from the West Brom ownership model and, ya know, start making irrecoverable loans to opaque sets of investors and suchlike….

Well we are exactly where we belong - a tinpot club in a poor quality championship, so i suppose that's something.

Very surprised he's going there, as a player who as you say has been terrific for your lot and still has his best years to come presumably. Seems a shame and a bit of a waste. We sold a player to Al Hilal as well, and whilst not in the same league as Neves, it seemed like a backwards step at a time when he was ready to push onwards, purely for the money.
Hopefully you guys get a good fee out of it and use it well to refresh the squad for next season.

Just seen a £65m deal has been agreed for Kai Havertz to join Arsenal. Not sure why we keep taking Chelsea rejects. They may as well sell us half their team. And I don't quite get the signing. We need a proper out and out no.9 striker not another wide winger attacker type player. 9 goals in 47 games isn't title winning credential.

Interesting that Chelsea are having to sell their excess players to other Premier League rivals as they have so over inflated the wages and transfer fees they pay that the continental clubs wont bid.

If he was any good, would Chelsea (don't need the £s) be selling him to a direct competitor?  Does seem like an odd buy, save some ££s and put that into getting the Rice deal done, surely?

Compare to Spurs effectively refusing to sell HK to either of the Mancs.

They're selling literally half their team haha. Kante's going to some Saudi club, Kovacic off to City etc.

Theyve got to flog players off to meet financial fair play targets - they spent big in January.

Havertz will have to prove he's not Haven'tz, he's not worth that much.

I dont get the Havertz deal at all. Never convinced at Chelsea. 65 million seems like a lot for a player that isn't 1st team material.

Pochettino seems to still have kind sentiment for Spurs, demonstrated by foisting Havertz on Arsenal.

agree about the price - Yet sometimes a player will suit another set-up/formation better than where he has come from - But he would not have been on my potential shopping list

Disappointed with how United have handled De Gea's departure. A great player, Club Player of the Year four times. Not perfect but a top-class keeper.

Total lack of respect shown by the club. Par for the course sadly, these days...
