    Did find out that there should be a sizable number of handpicked figured top R8s coming soon too. Not sure about the neck profile or other specs.

    Nope, but potentially part of the chain. Just what I'm told so may not happen. 

    Price will be between the R8 and R9 prices.

    It is a Gibson clone, I forget the exact model, I will try to find it, made by a French amp maker named vizy.

    I must admit my R8 is sat in its case with a broken top E string.  I'm playing my 2017 R9 (bought from GG very early on in the £3499 deal) with Slash pickups most days.

    I'm gigging this weekend but will be taking my PRS as usual.  Next week I think I'll give the Slash R9 a run out for a change.

    In my humble opinion, there aren't enough of these being sold on. Having missed Nik's at the absurd price, I'm surprised no-one is jumping on the bandwagon and selling them off.  Or on.

    Played @Legionreturns one at the weekend. Through a high-end rig of a Zoom G1on and a 6” PA speaker. Still sounded utterly awesome.
