I've still got 9 days to wait...

    Being away sucks!
I'm sure the next few hours will feel like 9 days for me!

    Being away sucks!
I have to leave first thing tomorrow for a little work trip for five days - so I have a little bit of time today with it and then off I go... which in some ways could be worse!

@sweepy I think they have a waiting list of people and are only expecting 8 replacements for previously returned guitars.

    I could be wrong though

Coda will apparently have a few for sale soon
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

It’s genuinely exciting watching the forum and waiting for other people’s deliveries to arrive!

I’m a sad, sad human being

I'm looking forward to seeing the asking prices for the first ones that inevitably appear in the classifieds once buyer's remorse/I just don't get on with Les Pauls after all kicks in...

It's here... plus the Dunlop care goodies... but minus a switch tip... nowhere to be found in the pocket... have emailed Peach, I'm sure it's easily sortable!

I suspect that some will be returned under distance selling regs (or whatever they have been renamed these days, before some pedant picks me up on it).  Keep an eye on the Peach and GG websites for the next week or two.

I think at this point I’ve lost all motor function. Who knows what’ll happen when mine turns up later  :o

    @StefB - Yes, Iced Tea.

@pmbomb - it's actually an R8! Feel very lucky to have snagged one with a top like that. Literally my dream Les Paul and a lifer.

Looks good!  I think that was the first one to go from the second batch at Peach - it was by far the most flamey that popped up on Peach's site.

Thanks! Indeed, I was sitting here like a weirdo constantly refreshing as new ones popped up... I knew I wanted a figured top and I knew there was at least one in the first batch so held out to see if any more would happen... and boom... :)

  • Holy shit balls @Whitecat ...I'm waiting for my figured Iced Tea to come next week. If it's half as pretty as that, I'll be very happy indeed!

I think Whitecat's is the exception rather than the norm - most seem to be very plain  :)

I've just been playing mine through my Silver Jubilee and it's got a real Allman Brothers at the Fillmore thing going on.  Not too shabby a tone to cracking out!
