  • Wow!

VOS R8 and plenty of them for 2499 plus they've got custom shop strats at 2199/ 2399/ 2499.

I'm guessing sales are slow at the moment!

I don't need anything but I'm still tempted...

Bloody hell, some of those are gorgeous. When it comes to trade ins are either Peach or GuitarGuitar noticeably more generous?

guitarguitar are tighter than a badgers ****. I'm a long term regular customer, easily bought well over 50 guitars from them over the years. Long term loyal customer because their CS is tip top and because of that I trust them, but when it comes to trade in, forget it, tight wads, probably the worst.

I don't doubt the good experiences you've had @MikeS but on the two occasions I've had to use GuitarGuitar their service has been contemptuous.

So much so that I would rather stick a prize winning pineapple up my arse sideways than use them again!

Oh well, maybe it's because I am a regular then, but any problem I've ever had has been sorted instantly. I will say though, I maybe look at it in a different way, my local GG shop (Edinburgh) are pointless to deal with direct. They make you stand too long, I'm in my 40's, to me it's a shop, not a social club, I don't want to faff about, but they seem to love faffing about, they seem to enjoy making all discussed figures 'obviously' in their favour, so much so that you feel proper shafted every single time without fail. Everything takes an age to get done, and like I say I've bought well over 50 guitars from them, and they still don't know me from Adam when I walk in.

But... I don't deal with GG locally like that anymore, I deal direct with head office in Newcastle. Any deal I want I contact them, any issues I contact them, the only reason I would ever have to set foot in my local Edinburgh store is purely for a point of pick up if the guitar was showing in stock there, but being the awkward local store it is they would probably hold that against you if you had an issue because you picked the guitar up. You're better doing everything online and having it delivered. But I try and avoid going to the Edinburgh store like the plague.

Peach aren’t taking trade ins at these prices, it’s asterisked in the small print of the offer e-mail for those that don’t receive it.

Mate, just saw their vid on Instagram in which they said they would contact customers who bought reverently and make it right. Max respect to them.

If they do, they’ve just earned another customer.

Let us all know how u get on!

As an alternative view I've bought several guitars from guitarguitar and they have been spot on every time.
In store, the Birmingham branch are particularly great and we're very accommodating to make a deal
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Just wondering, if you don't want a wanky flame top clown burst Les Paul, and you want p90s, what do you do?

I am guessing none of these offers apply to a nice p90 sporting goldtop?

Excuse my ignorance but what’s the difference between these and the ones up at over £5k on the same page?

Just bought one, can't wait! What an amazing deal. These are going for £2000-2200 second hand on eBay for older models with wear. Brand new for £2499 is a steal!
