Very good of you man.
OK this is going to be a bit of a logistical juggle - I'd just agreed to a reunion do on the 1st in London, so I'll need to sort a way to get from there to Leicester, then Leicester back to Wiltshire.
I'll sort something out...
Reunion.
Get train back to car, drive to Leics.
Jam.
Drive home.
Done! Be good to see you again @Timmyo. What do you fancy playing??
Off to roll naked in nettles as a pennance....
It's also stickied at the top of the "Recent Discussions" view (rather than the "by Section" view) of the forum, as is this thread.
It's subject to comment, change, the weather, all sorts really.
Some comments:
- I have tried to get things as equally spaced for everyone so there isn't a mad lot of changes and there are, where possible, similar groups up for a while
- I have put breaks in (for poor old @Octatonic and @Horse)
- Repeats are split for the simple reason that it helps to break things up and it means beginners don't get intimidated by "I'm never going to be that good" straight after the last go through
There are quite a lot of vacant vocal spots. Please please please please have a look at the songs you are doing and if you could bear to bang out a rough vocal then please do say. If we get a couple of vocalists for the less confident, then even better!!
Once we have all kicked tyres, I will insert it into one of the early posts in this thread and the songs thread so we know where we are with it!!
My Trading Feedback | You Bring The Band
Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after youThings I could sing at a push, although it might end up an octave lower than normal:
Fortunate Son
All right now
I'll have a crack at Midnight Hour and let you know.
Cheers for all your hard work guys

Where this goes after this first Jam we're not sure yet.
The initial idea was to run more than one per year but that was to capture different areas.
There's lots of ideas floating about and his year will determine next year so that's probably the best way to look at it.
I do have one very important point I'd like to make on this subject though. ...
There is NOTHING on this earth stopping any one of you lot banding together (pun intended) and hiring a studio for an afternoon.
It's easy and if you can get to somewhere like Quad then what's stopping you doing this yourselves on a smaller scale with let's say 10 people?
I'll tell you the only thing stopping you all from doing it.
You!
That's all.
A laptop full of backing tracks if you can't find drums and bass.......just pipe it through the PA.
So 10 guitarists can have an afternoon jamming as a band would for what..... £80 between 10 of you?
Record it, get some photos of yourself playing live, get volume experience, feel live and get the holy fuck out of the house.......for £8 each !
Bad in the good old days we used to go out and do things before the world brought it all to us online and all we do now is lol and click......
It can still be done the analogue way.
There's no law against it.
Anyway, back on topic now but that's worth people thinking about isn't it? Mini Jams?
Funday?
Tell her to shut it and just piss off for the day with your guitar and your mates.
Shame we couldn't get more people involved that day.
It's too slow, it's way too high for me to sing properly and it needed more tightness.
Nice video quality though.
I'd completely forgotten playing on that.
shows what can be achieved with just 4 hours of practising!!

I'd never even played guitar standing up before.
This is kinda the point if these. I was terrified but they got me through it.
