I cant see how much money is going to be made by flipping these - the used R8 price has always hovered around 2300-2600 anyway.. ? Ok if its labelled "brand new etc" it might go for a hundred quid more.. but I think its pretty foolish to buy one just to sell on for a profit.
I do, though, get the equity release argument - borrowing £2.5 k on 3 yrs interest free but getting all the cash now... However - to get the finance you need to have a semi decent credit history anyway. Would someone that has the credit-worthiness to borrow £2.5k really undergo the hassle and possible risk of buying a les paul just to release the equity.. ?

Given that Gibson are apparently going to stop over producing guitars, and have put their prices up, I think used prices will slowly start to creep up again. Can easily see these selling at a profit in a couple of years time.

A trader who knows what they're doing can make money on these. They can claim a VAT rebate, so that's also in the bank until it's sold. & let's face it the future of GBP's not looking bright, cash is better invested in a few of these if one knows how to run the market.

Chuffed that I finally got one. Doug and the team emailed me around 6-7 of themas soon as they landed in Tea finish and although it’s a plain top there’s a lot going on. Love it
