Budgie and capo4th are both in the cooler for a week.

A few things can be learned from all of this.

Politics and Economics may be a little more liberal in its moderation, but it isn’t a free for all.

Calling someone a nonce is a no no. Honestly, it’s just distasteful as an insult.

When asked to do something by a modmin after an official warning we do like people to actually do it - rather than whinging or acting all surprised and innocent.

Retracting a statement means editing your post - not just saying “yeah I retract that”

Finally, if you persist on acting like you are in a playground then then modmins will:

a) take your sweets away,
b) bang your heads together, and
c) make you sit on the naughty step for a week

We don’t allow price criticism in For Sale threads.

We don’t like it when members to insult other members or members of the public in open forum.

We don’t allow members to continue arguments across threads.

We don’t like it when a member repeats behaviour that they have already been warned about.

Since this is a guitar forum the moderators’ time is not going to be wasted on tidying up after the children.

Another classifieds thread has gone and been replaced by a fresh start after yet more seller criticism.

It’s against the rules to do that. So please don’t. Flag something if you don’t like it. We will review it.

In this instance, someone got the hump that a member listed something for more than they paid for it elsewhere. It appears it was a bargain eBay buy. This was a case of good fortune rather than some sort of bedroom flipping.

Either way, still not a reason to criticise.

As an aside, PM’ing the seller with further rantings about it is also frowned upon, so please don’t do that either

Users bencrowe and Benny309 banned for being the same person.

Moreover, bencrowe was excluded from the classifieds for constantly ignoring warnings and requests from the modmins to abide by the classifieds rules, and then signed up as Benny309 to get around that.

User krameree has had his classifieds access removed.

Deleting prices is against the rules. Doing it multiple times is against the rules and also pretty annoying. The price you advertise something for isn’t “between me and the buyer” and deleting pricing isn’t a good strategy for getting your ad bumped a lot - it’s a good strategy for having it closed and having your classifieds access removed.

Seriously - read the rules for classifieds. It’s very clear.

Bollywood thread goner-ised, because...well, it was another one of Ted's useless threads.

Also, Heel has managed to skip all of the usual warning -> cooler -> more cooler steps and go straight to a ban, for abuse, threatening another member, making demands that modmins do what he says, and then firing more abuse at the modmins.

I'm not entirely sure where he thought that would go, but hey...at least he got the thread vapourised, right? That's got to feel good.

@theguitarmarketplace has been banned.

When he joined on Saturday I PMd asking “If you are a business/dealer please contact a moderator to discuss how you could get involved here.” Instead he has been going through the Classifieds spamming people to try to persuade them to use his service instead. As you know we don’t accept spammers on the forum, regardless of whether it's public or private.

Ironically, if he had got in touch first, we would have been interested in talking to him. However an underhand act like this is no basis for a working relationship.

It would appear that he didn’t take kindly to being called out for a rule 1 breech after he suggested that another member should pull out in front of a lorry.

Well, at least we have a definitive answer now, and it turns out that being called out for being a dick is the shit that boils his piss.....

Captainbeeffart is having a bit of a lie down in a darkened room for a bit so he can calm down.

He’d had a busy day telling TTony to piss off, followed by some liberally applied rantings.. which is part of the rough and tumble of P&E.

However, after getting a final warning for introducing a bit of racism he was keen on having an argument about it and suggesting he was being singled out.

Um, yep... he was.. for being overtly racist and antagonistic, and he is being once more for arguing about it when asked not to..

Lets hope his little lie down will enable him to make a positive contribution to the fb when he’s back.

Just a gentle reminder about the classifieds.. the rules are pretty clear. You need a full description and some pictures.

We all forget from time to time. We were all new once, and y’know, we don’t always read the rules.

That’s why the modmins offer a gentle reminder before any other access.

However, telling a modmin to bugger off after said reminder isn’t wise. Mainly because your classifieds access then buggers off.

Now, depending on the response to the PM I just sent, we shall see if @smoore ’s buggering off is limited to the classifieds or the forum as a whole. Time will tell I guess...

Right to reply to what exactly? He didn’t follow the rules and when asked to he told said modmin to bugger off.
