He has way too much money to want to mix with the commonfolk.
Sometime around the end of last year (ie Christmas-ish time), @mgaw was coolered. I completely hold my hands up and admit that I forgot to then let him out of the cooler.
He didn't hassle me - for which I'm grateful - but then just set up a second ID (interstellar) which we all know is a complete no-no here.
The Interstellar ID was only recently brought to my attention.
On the one hand, multiple IDs here are a no-no.
On the other hand, I see it as my fault that the second ID was created.
With the wisdom of @digitalscream thrown in, we've taken mgaw out of the cooler (deeply frozen by now) and wrapped him in one of those special foil recovery blankets. Interstellar will remain banned.
There's no way that we can combine the posts of the two IDs.
And that's a solution that Mr mgaw has confirmed he's happy with.
It's good to talk.
Unfortunately, the fuckwit/s who precipitated John's decision to leave haven't left.
However, peter1 has become PeterOne.
Not least so that peteri didn't have to become PeterEye.
(ie the change was approved on the grounds of avoiding confusion between peter1 and peteri).
I love my job.
Fill in your own punchline ...

Oh wait, no. It's because she was also richardsguitars and richard.
Clean slate when he's back, and let's all move on.
Apologies for the lack of humour, I'm sleep-deprived. I'll try to do better next time.
Let's all play nice
and Fendergibson is in the cooler for a week and is on a final warning.
Since becoming a modmin I’ve come to realise the modmin team are a laid back bunch. I’ve been struggling to understand what it is someone needs to do to incur their wrath. Apparently:
1. Having a personal spat and trading insults in a sensitive thread that resulted from a closed thread despite warnings
2. After said warnings continued to trade insults and derail the thread resulting in a closure to weed out the comments before reopening
3. After reopening the thread continuing to post off topic and snide comments relating to aforementioned spat
4. Trying to continue said spat via PM - but attempting to use a modmin as your intermediary
Is enough to get their goat up and incur their wrath.
Also, it would seem that taking your spat from one thread and posting in the other members For Sale thread about it - and making some pretty ropey insinuations including advising people to not buy from them is enough to get you a final warning. Which is fair enough.
Take heed everyone - I am now in the know and have exercised my Cooler Keys.

Whilst I was in there I replaced the stock of baseballs as the old ones were looking a bit worn out.
He might have two masters degrees, but he certainly can't read rules.
There will probably be more of an explanation on this tomorrow. Not tonight, though, because my eyes are bleeding...
He has received warnings in the past for unnecessary comments and actions against another member, and this time he chose to LOL comments made by this member regarding the death of his father.
No amusing quips this time folks - it's a distasteful way of expressing your dislike for another member and there's no humour in it at all.
I'm skeptical, but a failed experiment is still a result.
Welcome to Hotel California.
It's not a warning/cooler/ban type ban, but a ban type ban.
He made a request to have his account deleted in the early hours of the morning, and because the Modmin team weren't on 24/7 emergency account-deletion watch he then proceeded to remove pretty much every bit of content from every classifieds post he's ever made.
It took us quite a while to find a powerful enough torch to go that deep into the change log to dig out every single change - and there's some pretty scary changes down there (when you lot change your mind, you really change your mind!)
We have investigated the possibility of an early-warning-24/7-get us out of bed type device for such requests, but it seems vanilla only supports an early 90's BT pager...
A number of comments were made in a recent thread which breeched rule 2 of the forum rules, resulting in warnings issued to a number of members, @Phil_aka_Pip included.
As this was the second warning for rule 2 breeches, this has been upgraded to a spell in the cooler.
Good job I swapped out the baseballs recently and had a sweep up..
He’d now like to come back and so he’s now no longer on a break.
Nice to have you back!
