I won’t buy another one no matter how much Internet Power is wielded by the fiendish devil sales channels that I am totally free to not watch.

I feel vindicated having read this. I tried a Victory amp once to see what all the YouTube hype was about and didn’t understand it at all. So I figured it must just be some shady marketing. Or I have duff ears and fingers.

Had a Victory V40 amp once, utter shite.

Anyone who buys a Victory amp is a fucking idiot (yes, like me). Just buy a real amp.

Briefly had a Sheriff 44 thought it was crap. Tried the preamp too…crap

demoed a v40 deluxe at Andertons and again wasn’t impressed. Other players make them sound nice, clearly I’m not one of them.

I have never played a victory or owned a victory. If people like the sound of a victory then they’ll buy it, regardless of what Lee Andertons says. If they think it sounds like shit then they won’t buy it, regardless of what Lee Anderton says. I didn’t know and don’t really care if Lee Anderton has shares in the company, owns the company or single handedly builds them in his shed with parts from Maplins. My honest opinion having inadvertently watched a few of those KDH videos is that he’s a malcontent and seems to shit stir for clicks. He’s best off being ignored IMO.

What you don't all realise is that "Lee Andertons Victory" will be when his armies stretch out from his warehouse in Guildford to conquer the known world,or at least Berkshire and Surrey.

We will all have to swear allegiance to "the Captain" every morning, and every house will have a victory amp under the TV that instructs you each morning to pick up your Chapman to play blues riffs with lots of vibrato on.

All purchases must be made through Andertons, and each house must have a portrait of Lee in the living room, Danish Pete in the bedroom and Chappers in the bathroom.

Anyone found not in compliance will have to listen to Lee talk about John Meyer in one of those contraptions from a Clockwork Orange.

I had briefly one of the pedal sized victory amps with cabinet. Sterile crap that lasted about 2 rehearsals.

However, this is such a non story.
For a start, he’s one of 9 shareholders. Selling a victory amp over a tone king really is going to make very little difference financially to him personally.

More importantly though, if I was in the music business and I played guitar a bit, like Anderton, and the opportunity came up to invest in a brand I believed in, I’d want to do it. If I hated the product, I doubt I would. If anything, his ownership is a ringing endorsement for the Victory brand, along with the other brands he has an interest in.

I watched about 15 mins of the KDH video and concluded that he’s a bitter young man that really needs to get out more. Had to stop watching as all I could see was someone desperately looking for dirt that isn’t really there, and a complete lack of journalistic integrity, no research ( I knew about landlordfx, GAP etc and I haven’t looked) and desperately seeking attention at any cost.
KDH would get a job spouting his nonsense in one of the rags such as The Sun or the Daily Mail ( I feel dirty typing them). All it’s done is make me want to check out a Victory amp and see if Andertons have anything to tempt some cash out of my grubby mitts.

If it's a Partnership rather than a Limited Company then all partners should be listed by name on all official documents (letterhead, website etc.) along with the formal correspondence address. Unless there are more than 20 partners.

If it's a Ltd Co then registration number etc. should be there and Co House will list directors and so on.

So the very vague Victory website is a little naughty. Along with thousands of others.

But I otherwise completely agree that KDH is trying to manufacture scandal like a tabloid journalist, whilst presenting like he's due a Pulitzer.

Is that actually true? I didn't think websites actually counted as part of the documents specification - effectively meaning that it needs to be disclosed to people who deal with Victory in a B2B capacity, but not customers (since customers don't deal directly with Victory).

Have you got a government reference for that? I'm not doubting you at all - it just seems like very relevant information for a business I may be embarking upon, and I'd rather have more information than less...but finding this stuff is really difficult because of all the vaguely-similar Google results that actually don't give any detail.

Wow, where did that come from? All I was trying to say is if your going to create video's about supposedly shady behaviour there are far better places to look. But yeah I'm really happy for you to quote back to me if it stops me being an arse.
And lets be honest grievances and concerns are all well and good, but when the only things you seem to be able to find are whether a businessman has put some of his own money into someone else's business ( without breaking the law ) whilst there are far better targets then it (as I pointed out earlier) smacks of laziness.
To be 100% clear, if anyone wants to pop a grievance on a forum about the price of milk, internet slow, poor quality tv etc etc then fine ,I do it myself as I enjoy venting as much as the next person. KDH and his ilk are doing it for the clicks, for the monetization, for the fame maybe, but they are not doing it for the sake of investigative journalism.

Perhaps i'm not explaining myself well, complaining on a forum with largely like minded individuals ( at least subject specific forums) is one thing, its venting to a small group of people that we usually consider to like ourselves. Putting videos on YouTube with an investigative journalist twist to them is another altogether. I think KDH takes himself entirely too seriously hence my comments. If i've offended then I apologise that was not my intention.

I can see both sides of this.

Absolutely agree KDH is making more of this than is necessarily there. He is trying to grow his channel and this kind of controversial content will achieve that. We are all discussing it so mission achieved for him.

But I also find it disingenuous that Lee Andeton appears to have tried to obfuscate his involvement in Victory over such a long period of time.

He isn’t shy about his involvement in other brands so why not be proud of sharing his part in Victory and building the brand?

I don’t think public knowledge of his investment in the business would have had any negative impact on the Andertons YouTube content or Victory. As many other comments have noted, everyone watching the videos know they are demonstrations of gear they are trying to sell and not reviews.
