    So I've been talking to various local hotels, and one of the national chains. There are some deals availablebut I'd like an indication of rough numbers for a) Friday night and b) Saturday night. 

    Just an indication. No commitment required yet but it will influence who gets the business.

    I'd be looking at Hotel on the Saturday night , would probably drive up 1st thing on Saturday morning rather than slog through Friday night traffic ...

    As promised, we now have an extra Saturday evening plan. tFB Gig! 

    We're taking over a local club for the evening, where we'll have a stage, backline and even some punters as well as ourselves and have pretty much free reign to entertain the locals throughout the evening. The plan is to have a separate setlist for the evening performance which people can sign up to. This means that rooms 2 and 3 during the Saturday jam can be used for getting performances slick. We'll be aiming to make the gig as realistic as possible so having a constant backline with minimal changeover time.

    It's a great opportunity for those who want to try playing live for an audience to do so in a friendly, supportive and intimate environment. 

    It's well worth considering staying for this even if you weren't planning to do both days, and of course you'd be welcome to invite friends and family to come and watch. 

    On top of this, the club have agreed to fire up their bbq and feed us for a nominal fee, and the beer is at subsidised club prices. 

    How good does that sound?!

    I woke up early today and got thinking about this whole thang.
    I'd love to come down the Friday and meet folks the 'day before' as it were, but in reality the mileage is against me.
    I could leave home on the Friday night and stay over half way, say Edinburgh / Glasgow / Borders, then be in Shuddersfield by early afternoon Saturday.
    I'm excited by the gig idea. Will there be a rough set list posted in advance or is the plan to wing it on the day? I'm up for some rhythm duties and some singing, as long as you aren't after some deep rock voice!
