Unfortunately I don't own any Alpha Juno synths, so I can't verify their claims, but these guys are usually pretty thorough with their reviews and comparisons. If you already have another Juno 106 emulation that might be enough, if not the Model 84 sale price is fairly reasonable, and they do a demo if anybody want's to check it out.

BTW, do you already own something similar?

Sorry, was a long day for me yesterday and my post probably came across quite cynical. I am genuinely interested, rather than sceptical. I own more soft synths than I care to mention and have no problem doubling, tripling up on them. If this is better, I’ll buy it, and as you say, it’s discounted! :-) @Vintage65 ;

If you want a 106 you should consider the current Humble Bundle which has a bunch of Cherry Audio plugins including a 106

They are usually well regarded.

Regarding the Softtube. They are regularly rated as some of the most accurate emulations out there however you should consider if that actually matters to you or you just want something that sounds good as well as the CPU load.

For example Arturia updated the CS-80 plugin to be super accurate, but now it uses masses of CPU which means I don't use it.

The 106 is a very limited synth so it's also worth considering synths that are a bit less accurate, but maybe add a few useful features.

You should also be aware that Softube use ILOK which some people don't like.

Nothing.

I've bought a previous one and I got all the software promised.

Humble Bundle deals are sometimes really good.

As I mentioned with the deal we discussed the other day I won't be going for it as I already have too many plugins so it ends up slowing me down learning new interfaces, but if you don't I'd suggest giving it a go.
