    How do I change my location in my profile? We moved to Wiltshire a few months back, but if I edit my profile and hit the 'save' button, my location still shows as West Sussex. Am I doing something wrong? Or missing something?

    I used to know how to edit links I posted to show up as one word, or a description like in my signature, but I've forgotten how. Any ideas?

    If you type a colon it displays a pop up list and the thumbs up is one of the first ones, failing that type ": + 1 :" but without the spaces or quote marks. 1

    Go to home page (click logo, top left).
    See all the categories listed.
    Hover over any of the category headings and a black cogwheel icon pops up.
    Click that and there's an option to hide, or unhide, individual  categories.

    Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

    Hi @BobHillman "Frets" here are things you acquire when people (a) learn something from you, (b) are amazed by something you said, or (c) laugh at you. 

    They can click  "Wisdom" under your post if they learned something new (in practice, often also just if they happen to agree with you about something). This is known as a "wiz". 

    They can click the "Wow" button, which is self-explanatory.

    Or they can click the "LOL" button  if you made them laugh. (Sometimes - not so often - people click LOL because they  strongly disagree with you and think you said something wrong. This tends to be frowned upon as, carried to extremes, it can become a bit nasty.)

    I suspect that most newcomers don't know what frets are - I didn't - so I have wizzed you for asking a sensible question.
