hugely subjective I know
30" short scale bass in the works
So I have to apologise for my brief absence from this thread, as it happens I did take on a last minute rush (commercial) job over the last 10 days to get some money in the bank. After several 12 hour days it's delivered and I have just had a wonderful Monday back making guitars, I simply cannot wait until it's my sole source of income, true joy!
So I have some very exciting builds coming up, a teaser being a 3xP90, a Baritone (neck not pictured) and a review piece for Guitar magazine,
My Debut that was with Tony has now been to Joe Barton at Guitar Nerds as some of you may have heard, and now it's with Bobby Jarvis of instagram/TikTok fame (https://www.instagram.com/jarvisguitar/)
Here's a couple of images from the workshop
Sanded up and ready for spraying, I did drill all the holes for the output jacks and neck pockets after this picture!
Also made solid progress on the 30" Bass project, note the swimming pool route that will accomodate both a split P or vintage style single coil with a simple pickguard swap.
Can't beat a detail shot, with the timber being so soft my chisels always need to be razor sharp too, this is finessing the treble side neck pocket.
Necks nearly complete, bodies getting polished up, more spraying!
I think it's great that we have threads like this. How often are people this open about how they make their products?
Wish me luck!
Seriously, these are all looking amazing.
