    Why is this so problematic, is there a maximum link or image size?
    I am having exactly the same problem, I just get the link but not the picture.  Can anybody help please?

    Windows PC, Chrome browser here.

    I clicked the linked imgur album from the post above.
    Right clicked on the first image to appear and copy image address.
    Flip back here and open the insert-image dialog.
    Paste the copied address.

    And image appears ...

    There is definitely a bug. In my sales post below I can only add images in a new post. I cannot get them to work in the first post. Though I can copy and past the displayed image into the first post. I'm using the same method and getting different results. This only seems to work once in a new post. 

    i realise it makes no obvious sense.

    Some of mine come out embedded and then some come out as links, and some that came out embedded turn to just links later on if I view the thread again.



    I just tried the attach image function , pasted the image into the box and hit the space bar, it seems to have worked, I am using Ms Edge and Imgur, I could never get the insert image function wo work before because I didn't know about the space bar thingy, hopefully its now sorted. 

    A Deuce , a Tele and a cup of tea.

    @Roland and @Marlin ; sussed out the issue with that link above in oct 18    paste link into attach box...make sure cursor goes to the start of the link as opposed to just leaving it sitting at the end  hit space bar voila

    Tried it. Past in the link, move the cursor to the start, hit space....
    Then screen shoots to the top of the page, and the mangled post goes to the bottom of the page. Most weird.
