A grainy clip via Whatsapp of our first gig, since pre Covid, with a new line up at a recent gig in Sidmouth.

Our bass player did a sterling job. He took it as a dep gig at very short notice and we only had time for one very quick get together, in my kitchen with our drummer on Cajon. But now he's in the band. Our previous bass player didn't mind as he's doing other stuff.

Took delivery of my new Squier Jazzmaster last week, and took it out to play on Thursday night for a quick guest spot at a local music night. Had no idea they were live streaming the whole thing, otherwise would have made more of an effort. Was knackered off nightshifts so was kinda going through the motions!

. You can't hear much of the bass unfortunately, which is especially a shame on Holiday In Cambodia, it's a great bass part.

Awww, thanks man. You’re very kind.

It’s all fairly standard. Compressor/Tubescreamer/Goosoniqueworx 7thvn JFET distortion (which is very amp like) & a green Russian Muff reissue. Then the Bright Onion loop switcher controls the top row. I use the M5 for basic delays/Flange/wah.

Than the Walrus Slotva for big ambient washes. Usually mixed with another delay off the Timeline. I have an expression pedal on the M5 for tape delay feedback.

Then into a Blackstar Artisan 30 with gain at 11 O’clock, EQ’s all at 1 O’Clock and master volume somewhere between 9 O clock and 11 depending on size of stage.

I’ve also got a Fender ML212 Deville which is my “if the venue has a flight of stairs” amp.
