Agreed. Nice guy, fixed my amp quickly for a reasonable fee and didn't even complain when he had to keep it for an extra month when the Leicester lockdown was imposed!
Definitely recommended, would happily go back.
Well, not happily, because it'll mean something's broken, but you know...
Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.
Very professional and easy to use service.

Since we lost the inestimable Pete Hartley, I have struggled to find someone that I trust to dig around in my amps, and Andy as now made it to that status!
Just had my original 70's Small Stone phaser repaired by @ICBM
He was nothing but informative, helpful, speedy, and great value. And gently reminded me at how bad i was at using a soldering iron 10years ago!
Thank you again!
I mostly do synths but used to do quite a lot of amps.

I'm in Brockley, SE London.
Old school electrical engineer did an amazing job on my AC30CC1. Stripped and cleaned the whole thing. Diagnosed the weird noises, new rectifier valve, cleaned all the pots, found an intermittent conection to one of the boards, new springs in the reverb tank, squared up the bent chasis from 15 years on knocks. And tested a couple of old mullard valves I bought from ebay. £180 all in.
The amp is now weirdly silent when not playing. Sounds miles better than i remembered.
John only responds to phonecalls not the contact box on his website.
It took him a couple of weeks but I wasnt in a rush.
Excellent job, quick turnaround (3 days) and great price!
Well recommended

Thanks @RyanNoisyHammer
He has my Marshall DSL401 at the moment so I will see how that goes.
It is for family member who has a 20+ year old Fender amp ( hybrid Princeton I think). It needs a good service and maybe some pots replaced.
