I briefly had custody of a Carvin bass guitar. Some things about it were really high quality. Others were somewhat eccentric - kinda like Vigier and LAG. The eccentricities hamper resale values. Hence, the lifetime keeper bunker mentality of the fanbois.
If you are an artist with an endorsement you will generally get better service but non-US customers are a bit screwed.
Part and parcel of dealing an American company without local dealers.
Warmoth can be similar IMHO, although they tend to try harder to fix problems.
The Carvin/Keisel fanboys can be brutal too.

I like Carvin, but I haven't tried Kiesel - Necks can be a bit small for me.
I’m not saying “quick everyone grab your pitchfork’s” but the act of omission by not declaring an ongoing financial interest could be seen negatively by some. Particularly when other interests have been openly declared(and often).

If you've built a reputation of fairness and honestly, doing blindfold tests of guitars and letting cheaper brands win in these tests (even though they're the better sellers, but let's ignore that) and then you're putting these amps in lots of videos and never mentioning that you're an owner... it's just a strange omission.
Your audience have a right to know if you're an owner because it comes across as though they're a neutral party who just likes the amp, when in fact there is a huge vested interest in them. So using your reputation to promote them, and omitting the fact that you're an owner/investor does raise some questions.
I'm not saying they've done anything, and it could be completely innocent, but the questions are valid questions and I think KDH is right here. He also didn't aggressively go in on Lee, he just dug a bit and asked some questions. He says he respects Lee. I don't think he deserves a pile on.
Who is alex2678?
I contacted the treasury to find out, but they didn’t answer.
I look forward to his next thrilling expose. "New in at ten: in shocking news, water is wet".
