    "Shiny Happy People" is a beautiful pop song.

    I'm with Noel G on this one, he sat and wrote "Live Forever" after seeing there was a Nirvana B-side called "I hate myself and I want to die", because he had spent his life with fuck all and his Dad beating the shit out of him, and he didn't hate himself and want to die - he didn't want kids feeling like that.  I love Noel.

    Shame REM felt SHP was too sugary, given they could do life-affirming and positive just fine (I've still no idea what Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight is about, but I love it).
    Agreed and the B52s are great, do you want to know what Sidewinder is about? It's probably not what you might expect :)
