Are we keeping a few of the "standards", or going for a complete new list?

I'd say we need about 15-20 songs, and it would be good to have at least 5 stalwarts

I’m not learning a load of new songs, but might revisit some from the earlier jams as well - is there a list of what’s been played previously. Though the difficulty level kind of depends on the final attendees- no point having simple songs (teenage kicks) if everyone wants more difficult ones!

We did Teenage Kicks at Sasquatch and it was great so I vote that for a Quad outing.

Superstition would be a good new entrant, as would Brown Sugar

I'll have a look see if I can dig out the old lists for you. There's quite a range of choice tbh!

ACDC songs come with a problem ...namely, no bugger can sing them!

I'd like to do some earlier Quo (eg Juniors  Wailing) and preferably some JJ Cale (pick more or less any track!).

Have we ever done any ZZ Top or Thin Lizzy (dual guitar opportunity)?

Oddball - Walk on the Wild Side (though that's more bass-centric than guitar-centric).

Primal Scream - Rocks.  We did talk about that being a surprise option  at WaterRats to surprise the drummer who didn't turn up).
Spin Doctors - Little Miss Can't Be Wrong.

But ultimately, whatever's going to work for the vox, be recognisable without having to be a note perfect reproduction, be challenging without meaning that  you've got to be a stunning player to be able to play it, etc ...

I'd hope that there was always going to be a mix of talents/confidences there, such that there's always room for some simpler songs.

And besides, just because they're simple, doesn't necessarily mean that they're easy to play well
    ;)

Champagne Supernova (or Live Forever or Don't Look Back In Anger if everyone is bored of CS)
    Paranoid

Happy to play some chords or sing on any track you know me ;)

I'll give singing an AC/DC song a go if someone is desperate to do one, you can always play it down a tone like was done with Danger Zone up north...
We have to be so very careful, what we believe in...

What about Rock n roll star @darthed1981 ? Slightly more uptempo and has a Status quo style riff! Still has iconic licks to learn?

Thanks - I’ll compile a list of everything we’ve played and when, so we can see which ones need a few Jams off to stop us wearing them out, and which classics need a come back

    Yup.

If I'm honest I'll rock out to any Oasis track, I made my Mum take me up to HMV to buy Be Here Now (which I still like, I own it on Vinyl) before getting my GCSE results on it's release day!

Not all AC/DC is killer to sing. Stick to the Bon Scott-era stuff (or "proper AC/DC" <runs>) and there's quite a lot that doesn't require a licence to deafen bats.

  • @TTony if you really want dual guitars - two words only: wishbone and ash

The Live Dates Vol II version of Livin' Proof should be easy, the rhythm guitar parts are as exquisite as the harmonies, and the solos.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
