It's full steam ahead with the next build whilst I'm slapping those Tru-Oil coats on the Leopardwood DC. In all it's Maple glory... it's another 6-string custom DC. The finish on this is going to be quite exquisite, but you'll have to wait until it's done to find out what it will look like

Finished the "Hulk-burst" DC... Flame Maple/Mahogany body, Maple neck, Flame Maple fretboard w/ Luminlay dot inlays, Wilkinson bridge, AT-1 and Cruiser pickups, Gotoh 381 locking tuners and Green-Purple burst under matte finish...

Yeah, been a while but I'm still here and working on a number of builds that will present themselves over the coming few weeks. The first, in celebration of this glorious sunshine we've been having, this yellow SS (actually not influenced by the sun at all, but an idea I had some time ago) in the typical "bridge-only-pickup" style. I went for chrome hardware after seeing an old ESP in a very similar yellow with chrome and thought it suited.
Full spec: Mahogany archtop body, Maple three-piece bolt-on neck w/ reversed head, Wenge fretboard w/ binding, Gotoh Tune-O-Matic bridge and 381 Series tuners, Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup and matte Cadmium Yellow finish...

Just finished... Custom 7-string SD with Ash body, Maple set-neck, Flame Maple fretboard, Tonepros TP7 tune-o-matic bridge, Gotoh 381 Series Magnum Lock tuners, Fishman Fluence Modern HB set with coil split and USB recharge pack, and Lollar Tweed (middle) single coil pickup...

Half my message has disappeared! Anyway, I did carry on to say that I would continue posting completed builds here but most of the progress stuff will now be on FB, Twitter and Instagram.

Trying to keep out of the sun and heat, the coolest place in the house right now is the office so I thought I'd go through some recent photos and post a general "what I'm up to at the moment"
So, there are a few custom builds and a couple of stock builds in progress at the moment. All early days apart from one which I sprayed yesterday and is ready for clear coat tomorrow. Remember this colour (Kiwi Light)? I had to do it again...
The other builds are just started with blanks machined, body shapes routed and scarf joints ready to glue. Includes some Flame Maple, Quilted Maple, Swamp Ash and more tasty wood-goodness...
