    As expected, yes. That said, my camera is crap at taking indoor shots and I was under artificial light which makes a difference. It will look different (and better) once the Tru-Oil is finished =)

    I like that PME fboard... Some can be a bit too busy, this works nice. Just waiting for the Luminlay now and then I shall move on with it and get the body glued up :)

    That white DC3 now ready to go. I wasn't sure about this body shape after making the Sapele archtop prototype in October. I said back then that I'd have to make another and paint it... Here it is and I'm happier with it now.

    DC3 #2: Alder body (flat top), 3-piece Wenge/Sapele neck (bolt-on), African Ebony fretboard (25.5" scale length), Gotoh fixed bridge/381 tuners, Irongear "Steam Hammer" pickups, coil split mini-switch and matte Signal White PU finish.

    The bevel edge on the top makes it look like it would be comfy to play too.

    Thanks, it's great to hear, some feedback. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the DC3 to begin with but given a paint job - especially the white with black hardware and Ebony fboard - has changed my views on it. 

    In terms of playability and comfort, it's probably my most comfortable design ever. Fret access is great, even though most guitars are designed for easy upper fret access, and generally feels great playing whether sitting down or standing. I love it now and will probably look to do a 7-string version soon (this was planned to be a 7 string but the fretboard blank was too narrow).

    Yeah, had a fair bit of saw marks on one side. All gone now and looking very nice. Got the neck and body wings glued and clamped on right now so more updates on this very soon =)

    A lost photo. This build was finished around late summer 2016 and left the workshop in this state ready to be prepped for some custom airbrush artwork. Features custom inlay work by VanWhy Inlay & Design, PA, USA, Sycamore body, Maple neck, Indian Rosewood fretboard, Schaller Floyd Rose and M6 tuners. Unfortunately, I lost contact with the client before I had the chance to see the finished guitar... Nice selection of Limba, Purpleheart and Wenge in the background too
