No longer required due to new custom head being finished.

100W Marshall JMP 2203, I believe this is from 1979. This is THE sound of rock, and always will be. forget the re-issues, the re-vamps and the pretenders, grab yourself an original.  This is obviously not in pristine condition as you can see from the pictures, but sound wise it's fantastic, and the vintage look adds to the Mojo. Also comes with the original Marshall cover.

Not interested in amp trades, but would be tempted for a nice guitar, USA strat or tele would be nice.

I'm not keen on shipping.. However, I will box it up and be available if anyone wants to arrange a courier, but I can't be responsible for any damage during shipping.

Si, I can't believe this amp hasn't sold already!!
January is always a bad time to sell stuff.. I'm sure it will go in a month or 2 when people recover from Christmas, i'm not in a desperate hurry to shift it.

shipping heads is fine as long as you have a proper box with all the foam inserts etc and a LOT of padding, and taking the power tubes out is always a good idea too.

Might be worth asking if anyone has an amp head box nearby they don't need.

Hi Si. Is it all original no mods etc. iv got someone picking my blackstar up on Saturday. As long as that goes through ok I'll have the funds. If you still have it by the weekend and mine goes through I'll have it

There was a disagreement over the power and Ohm selectors on the back with someone, but i think it's all original.. I've not had the chassis out to check the internals, but when I got it from sted here he said it was original.

Here you go... light isn't great as it's getting dark here. I'm no expert, but all looks Ok to me, no obvious mods or anything new.

    image

Obviously as you can see from the other pictures, it's not New condition :), plenty of scrapes, scratches, tolex missing (there is a large bit of tole smiting from the bottom which I didn't know about until jet now, but you never see that anyway), knocks and dings, and I can't voice for how old the valves are... BUT to my ears it sounds fantastic..

Where does that white wire go to, the one with the cable tie on. Looks like the middle preamp socket base. Not sure what that is maybe ICBM might have an idea?

I've asked the question in the Amps forum, but looks simple to de-solder and remove. Curious what it does myself.. That seems to be the only anomaly, I've sent pics to my usual amp tech and he said it all looks un-modified and original spec.

Also asked the question on the Marshall forums and seems to just be something that was done at one of it's services, nothing unusual:
It is not really a modification. Someone opted for a shielded wire to the grid on that preamp tube and connected at the load resistor on the board.
