Heya! Glad you like the Golden Eagle - it's exactly the same pedal as the Zombie Klone. The reason is... going back a few years I was selling lots of Zombie Klones via various forums. Only on TGP I kept getting asked for a Zombie Klone with more 'traditional' artwork/finish. Maybe people expect Klones to be gold? So I introduced the GE. Both pedals continue to sell well, so I'm not inclined to stop making either :-)

  • @timhulio ;

Did you go any further with the KOT style pedal I saw in some previous posts?

Yep it's on about the third revision. The KOT/Bluesbreaker always seemed a bit quiet to me, so I've tried to add a boost circuit which doesn't effect the character of the overdrive, which can be removed entirely via DIP switches. But my head keeps being turned by other, weirder circuits!

Here's the first examples of a couple of new pedals which will launch at The Guitar Show later this month. Dresden Synth Fuzz (MkII) and the Verzerrer.

Really like those new enclosures - look superb.
What is the overall size of the pedal like - same/bigger than Boss/TC? Assume bigger than MXR...
And is this the shape of Fredrik's to come (like maybe the Bluesbreaker that was in the works)?

Thanks! Glad you like them. I really like having more space to work with in these enclosures, and the metal fabricators did a great job. I did go to some trouble to make the Bluesbreaker/KOT circuit board mini-sized, so we'll have to see if that ends-up in the wedge enclosures. I think some of those interested in that pedal might appreciate top-mounted jacks though.

Been meaning to get a Golden Eagle for ages and finally got one.

What a brilliant pedal. Really adds a great focus and chime to my Origin.

Any updates on your KoT like?

I'd love one in this enclosure!

Thanks! And to think I wasn't really a Klon fan until I started building and testing them virtually every day.

The KoT like OD is almost certainly next on the list. I've got a refresh of the Super Unpleasant Companion coming soon, so the enclosure guys are busy with them, but the next order should be the enclosures for the KoT/Bluesbreaker variant. Think I'll stick with the small box for this first batch at least.

Yeah I'm not too sure. I think people automatically think wedge enclosure = fuzz. Even though top mounted jacks would be cool. I should probably work on a version of the regular enclosure with top jacks, but space is limited.

    Nice!

If it's possible to cram the klone and breaker in a king of klone enclosure I reckon you'd kill it!

Which would you put first? Klone I assume. Or would a switch to change the effect order be a necessity?

Now launching! MkII Accomplished Badgers, with a charge pump so the effect operates at 18v from a 9v supply, and a Triad output transformer. Same great germanium pre-amp/boost, but the saturation and light overdrive is more musical.
A limited number of the MkI badger are still available at a discount.

For me, it would be Klone first. But i reckon a switch would broaden the appeal. Keep up the good work man!

Coming soon! Due to popular demand, the Fredric Effects take on the old BB overdrive, with the KOT mods and a tad more gain available, also with a switchable boost for more overall volume. #effects #fredriceffects #boutiquepedals #boutiqueeffects #overdrive #guitar #bluesbreaker #kingoftone

Thanks. I'd actually built myself a Nobels ODR-1 clone to satisfy my curiosity, and the Blue Monarch is far more interesting and versatile. Really like some of the edgier sounds you can get with the treble boosted.

Me too! I've only got half a dozen of them in stock as supply chain is janky to say the least. I should do a demo, but holding-off the proper launch until I can get enough PCBs and potentiometers to satisfy demand. I'll likely do a demo soon though.
