There's some use of backing tracks in there... but mostly this is a band at the height of their powers.

80s guitar pop is amazing, I love it. One of my favourites is Tiffany’s debut album. Carl Verheyen played on the song Danny and it’s a banger!

My brother went to UEA, but probably not until 1989 or 1990. I think he saw Terrorvision and the Chili Peppers (separately).

I saw a lot of great bands at the UEA. Our own band supported (I think) The Mekons there on one occasion (not on the main stage I'd hasten to add). The memory is extremely hazy for several reasons :-)

Funnily enough I'm seeing Terrorvision this November. Really looking forward to it.

Agree. I saw them back in the day (can't remember when or where but it was the '80s) and they, too, were great. The girlfriends all had the hots for DH unsurprisingly.

I should say that I have actually seen Richard Marx live. Supporting Stevie Nicks.

The main thing I remember is that Jason (Jon Walmsley) from The Waltons was one of the guitarists in Marx's band.

The Adventures are one of those "I forgot all about them" bands and if it wasn't for my Spotify feed, I would have been one of them. Sadly, the vocalist became an alcoholic and passed away but I believe they are still together with a few new members. The really did make some staggeringly good albums, IMO and typify the 80's pop scene.

Cock Robin were another typically '80 band, who although originating from America found real success in Europe and still play concerts in Germany, Holland and France. I have my brother who was working in Maastricht at the time to thank for introducing me to them
