I thought Shubbs were great until I got a Kyser.
in that spirit, what about a G7th Nashville ?

I see the "grip" is above the fret board as opposed to down towards the back of the neck as with some of the cheaper trigger capos (and a bit more subtle looking than a kyser) ,  which can, for me, hinder my fretting hand.    I think I might give this a go

    I have four capos:
A G7 with a small black trigger at the back (you pinch the fronts to get tension), a G7 with adjuustable screw, a Kyser and a Shubb

I fimd I use the G7 with adjustable screw the most. The Kyser's tension seems...well, I'm not sure it needs *that* much to do the job, though I do use it.

Yes, I much prefer the Kyser/Nashville 'upward lever' design. The Dunlop Trigger-type 'downward lever' ones work OK but I find them clumsier to use.

I still prefer the Kyser - the G7th Nashville has the same problem - although not as badly - as the Performance one, it's too smooth and slippery! It has a great tendency to fly out of your hand - the Kyser's more square-edged/hooked shape is easier to grip.

Beyond that it's really all just personal preference - all the decent capo designs work properly, it's just that each has quirks which some people are fine with and others not...

well,  its really rather good  - and at £18 a lot cheaper than the Perf 3 -  its light, well made,  decent grip without over clamping and doesnt get in the way of my fretting hand.

seems to work much better on the "thin necked" Brook than the Perf 3

Just need to get used to the "top grip" as opposed to "under grip" of the two cheapy Amazons I have (yep Ive got 5 capos,  well 6 now)

    9/10 I think

I quite like the Paige, though I don't have one.
I may have to put that right. It's so much cheaper than an Elliott (one here in Classifieds for the droolers!).

I bought a Nashville ages ago and never quite got on with it. It's about to get another chance to convince me.

I have an Amazon Adagio brand, two in fact and they seem to be similar to a 'home' brand. I do tend to capo from the opposite side from this one in the photo though,so as the main body of it is less intrusive. Being cheaper they do seem to grip a bit tighter and can't be adjusted but they have lasted a few years for me.

see for me,  and my fretting style,  its more intrusive at the bottom !!

I put a capo on from the top.

I've tried from the bottom, that works for me, too, but it's in my head (when I look at it) that it's kinda upside-down!

    ;)
