The other thing I did learn from Friday's rehearsal is that the shiny knobs on the compressor look and feel amazing but are so hilarious reflective they're completely useless when there are multiple light sources. I may need to swap them for something more legible
I'll probably end up replacing the tuner with a Polytune Mini when I move them across. For now, this board is everything I need for my home noodling rig (it goes into a Blackstar HT-1's clean channel). Powered by my USB-C adapter and a Joyo ZGP. When running from the battery (which I'll probably never need to do), it'll actually go for about 3 days with everything switched on...
The Bogner Red always surprises me with how great and amp-like it sounds. Still haven't found anything that can beat it for turning a clean amp into a fire-breathing monster. I have the right half of the Heavy Water always-on at minimum boost, because it adds a bit of sparkle and zing to the Red - kinda makes it Soldano-esque to my ears.

(at the first attempt, anyway)
Do you get worried about the weight of the board when in the Mono Tick? It's fairly light, but still a significant weight, wondering if it's likely to cause any lasting damage to the guitar neck etc...
I'm loving having the tiny boards for my current band - separate ones for guitar & bass means I can do everything I need and throw it all over one shoulder (in a PT Jr case ) to take it to the car
Lug-ability is a thing for me now. I have to keep pretending to myself I will one day again play out of the house, and that being the assumption, my dodgy ticker etc means it has to be light and portable.
I may do a little vid of my ridiculously portable guitar/board/amp all fitting in one carryable hand....
(And apologies in advance if that method doesn't work....)
SviSound Ge fuzz mini
Mosaic 12-string emulator
Mooer Yellow Comp
Mooer Black Secret
Tumnus
Flashback ii mini
One spot pro psu underneath
Admittedly the BS does overlap with the fuzz somewhat... But otherwise it's more capable than I am....
All the band really wants us cleany-sparkly or edge - of breakup or dirt.... I could probably have got away with just the comp and black secret/tumnus...or even just the tumnus..... But where's the fun in that????
Of course I need the BS plus the Flashback for the full Gary Marx....but the rest of the guys worship at the altar of Hackett and Zappa so not much chance of doing that in public
I have no need for any other effects.
I need a bigger plank to stick them on but otherwise I'm happy.
Having sold off everything else this is the fewest pedals I have owned for 20 years.
- physically small by sensible definition, but 9 pedals covering loads of sounds
- small, few pedals, but they are super-powerful, multi-use so not a ‘basic’ setup
- 2 or 3 eye wateringly expensive pedals - so small, but not budget
- 3 or 4 simple mainstream pedals
I’ve always found the subject of small boards oddly fascinating
Mini fuzzes, though: what's good?
