Is the forum really slow for everyone?

I’ve not been on here much as it’s just painfully slow. I give up replying as it just hangs - if I really want to reply I have to make sure I copy the text as inevitable I’ll have to refresh the page and that looses your un-posted reply. 

Is it just me? Something I need to setup?

    I'm currently experiencing a six to seven second delay on the forum between clicking on any item or category.
    This has been happening for the last couple of hours. Restarted the computer, cleared history & caches, exited & rejoined the forum, but no joy.
    Anyone else experiencing any quirky behaviour?

    Seems fine here.
    edit. Actually just noticed that’s not entirely true. Everything is taking a couple of beats longer than normal. Not massively slow, but not up to fb’s usual zippy attentiveness.  ;)

    I'm going to try something a little bit later, or possibly tomorrow if things don't improve. It'll involve about 25 minutes' downtime, though, hence my mild reluctance.

    It has improved, now more like the delay from clicking exactly on the hour or half hour 'feature'.
    Maybe scheduled maintenance between xx:xx hours GMT ?

    I just rebooted everything as I thought it was my end.  If this is an improvement, I'm glad I wasn't on earlier!

    It's going to be slower for a few minutes (I hope it's a few minutes) - I'm just clearing out the activity table, to see if that helps. It'd grown to mammoth proportions, and I haven't been getting the alerts for some reason.

    I'll see what else I can clear up in a bit.

    Right. Truncating the activity log actually caused a crash. On the bright side, things seem to have speeded up now that I've got it up and running again.
