    I'd suggest avoiding August - people might be away on their hols. Schools restart on September 4th, so the first weekend (7th) should be fine.

    1) I may have a gig (20% chance)
    2) There may be a family event that day - it's going to be sometime in September (10% chance)

    The two main rooms at Resonant will easily hold a six-piece band and the acoustics in the main one are fine. I work there regularly so if you want to do anything there I can talk to the owner and sort anything out that needs sorting.

    If you can check availability of that village hall at the bottom of your garden, then we set a date / time and see who'd be up for it.

    Whatever date  is chosen, there will always be some people that can make, and some that can't - easier logistically to set *a* date, and then see who fancies it.

    As you said originally, definitely not a jam session!
