@poopot is our man in the frame as well so we can get him involved.
Dakota by the Stereophonics
While My Guitar Gently Weeps by the Beatles - but I think we should follow the version done at the George Harrison tribute gig: Concert for George
Actually there's a trend - another one I missed:
Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
As for my two choices, I've been on a bit of a 90s nostalgia kick recently so I'll put the following into the hat:
Two Princes - Spin Doctors
Closing Time - Semisonic
both have nice rhythm parts and some widdly stuff.
A reserve choice would be How you Remind me by Nickelback, despite how much they were pilloried back in the day

My trading feedback - I'm a good egg
I've made a similar comment elsewhere on the forum that when suggesting songs to play at jams folks need to try singing the song themselves in the correct key before proposing it.

choice 2 the night they drove old Dixie down the band version.
Comfy with @munckee will be good also.
In fact - how about I do it on a fretless 5 string?

1) the pretender - foos (happy to do as 1 guitar and bv’s easy song to do)
2)rock n roll - zep (again easy song to bang out quickly)
it not 100% but we may have @drumswithpoopot again and also my singer has said he may possibly be there (so vocals sorted on the difficult numbers)...
but... the possible turd in the drain pipe is we have a gig that night... it may be a bit much for all three of us tbh!... all day at the jam and then get to gig load in, soundcheck 2 x 1hr sets load out home is a very long day...
so, bear with me on this one!...
Heres the thing. As i (and all of us) get better, and get to know what works in a tFB jam setting, i might be inclined to go with the flow. But let’s please have some decent variety in the suggestions.
I wouldn't mind having a bash at a clutch song as I've got my dc junior done now, something like cyborg bette, it's loud fairly easy and i don't think the singing sounds that hard but I'm no singer

That's a cracker! Would love to do that solo
Dodgy lyrics, but we'll ignore that!
I would love to join in with Comfy and Wanted Dead or Alive if there are simple enough parts (or any others that come along that may be suitable for me too). That would be just amazing to play on. I could also do a bit of backing vocals as I do sing a bit.
As for song song choices of my own, I am not sure what to suggest because the versions of songs that I play with my guitar buddy are not necessarily the original versions. They tend to be more simplified versions. Crumbs I feel so stupid.......

Prob the best advice I can give, is come with an open mind. No expectations, no pressure. Whatever prep you do, is what you do. Come as you are, and bring your guitar.
Any volunteers?
@Blackjack - I'd be delighted to strum an acoustic version of Comfy with you as @Bridgehouse mentioned above - it's a song that I love to listen too but have never learnt to play.
Songs I'd like to throw into the mix
Hungry Like the Wolf by duran duran -
Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes - can lend itself to lots of silly bugger guitar fills
