Will definitely be there - hugely looking forward to the live room performances and also jamming & practising in the other rooms. Still finding Tush a bit of a challenge to play
    cleanly at full tempo!

Yes still on. The song I was up for has fallen off the list so I'll just jam, natter and talk gear in the other rooms.

Sorry, saw Tony had tagged me, but only just realised it was a new thread.

Anyway - I just need a clean sound for one song, and a crunchy sound for the other, so it'll be guitar - lead - amp for me.

Need to do a bit of practice... :)

Just got home from jamming covers with a few friends from work. Some surprises in there...

One was Rabbit by Chas & Dave. :).  I also got to play All Right Now on guitar, Tush and Come Together on bass.  Practice is going well.

Guys, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to pull out.

I've got a festival slot on the 2nd with an artist I play for, I was trying to figure out how I could make both engagements work but I can't, and I hope you'll agree that I need to prioritise the gig. Hopefully I'll see you guys soon though.

Don't fear, although I was relying on Bucket for a lift, I know you can't cope without me - so at great expense I'm hiring a car and at great risk driving from Central London, so be nice to me!

As I've said, I'm bringing my AX8 - I don't want to leave it plugged into the room all day, and may decide to shoot off a little early (to get said hire car back), so don't want to leave anyone high and dry.

If you'd like to have a go on the AX8, please pm me - I know someone (sorry forgot who) asked on here about loading a preset - please PM me.

    Cheers

I should clarify as well that @peteri and I have discussed this at length, so I hope no-one thinks I'm a dickhead for leaving him in the lurch

Ah no - that's true, sorry if that was implied.

@Bucket has his issues clearly, but he's been completely open and fair on this - no dockage implied or meant

I'm driving from the south, if you're not taking too much gear for the train @peteri and you its cheaper than a hire car I can collect and drop you at train station?

@munckee thank you so much, that's really kind.

Too much for the train I think, but I'll ponder

I've updated the running order list (see top of this thread).

@crunchman and @bucket have withdrawn, so there are now a number of empty slots.

    Just What I Needed.
Suggest that we collapse the two separate plays of this into one.  If I move onto bass duties, can either @Brocco, @TADodger or @McToot pick up the lead part?

    Signed Sealed Delivered.
We need Vox and Lead guitar  on this.

    Purple Rain.
    Ditto.

Any takers for the above, or any of the other vacant slots - now is a good time to step forward ...

I'd avoid having me on lead. This is the song I know the least and I haven't started learning yet (any of them, if I'm being totally honest) Gulp

I had actually started learning mine before I had to withdraw.  Now I've got this far, I'm going to finish learning Alright Now with the solo even though I can't come.

    Have a good day everyone.

@TADodger - do you mean you can' t cover the slot on  Just What I Needed, or you can't make the whole day?

@TTony - out of the whole day. I did drop a note in the reserve list thread earlier in the month, sorry if it was the wrong place.

@TADodger - no, my fault entirely - I'd forgotten to update the players on the running order thread.  Probably my sub-conscious hoping that you'd be able to make it after all!

@TTony i will take a listen to the solo for Just What I Needed to see if there is any chance I can play it. Will revert over the weekend...also happy to let a more accomplished lead player take this slot if they would like it?

@TTony @peteri ;;if there's no lead or vocals on Purple Rain, is it worth dropping it? Shame, as I was looking forward to playing with bucket. :(

I don't mind learning bass on Beat It instead, if you two (or whoevever's call it is) agrees.

    Hi

I agree, it's a real shame - I've got the tonez off pat. But at the same time - without the vocals, and solo - there's not a lot left!

If that's the position we're in - I agree, drop it. But truth be told - happy either way.

Up to you @TTony - I'll go with your call

@TTony if we need vocals for anything in sets 1 and 3 where I'm in the room anyhow I can try and learn them so people get to play the parts they have learned.  Signed Sealed Delivered might be a bit high for me but I'll give it a try to help out / send people screaming in fear to a church :)

Obviously if anyone else wants to do them I'll happily step aside!  My day is mostly about doing a good singing/lead job on Champagne Supernova, especially given the northern jam version... gulp!

Won't help with Purple Rain of course, and my playing is nowhere near at the level to play lead on a Prince song!

Is Just What I Needed the Cars song?  Never heard it before but I quite like it if so!
We have to be so very careful, what we believe in...

@TTony - having taken another listen to Just What I Needed I'm ok to take the keyboard part and also the lead fills on the chorus. The solo is more of a challenge and definitely outside my comfort zone. To allow me to concentrate on trying to learn the solo could I please come off Tush. In terms of the running order I would appreciate the opportunity to practice Just What I Needed on the day and wonder if it could be moved out of the first group of songs.

@darthed1981 - yes this is a Cars track
