Sounds nice - but my fingers find that a tough stretch!

and of course 007765 with a barre across the 5th fret so I can take the other fingers off a get a groove going.

The shape of the top three strings xxx533 provides a useful fragment to move around the fretboard to create interesting D minor voicings using the open D string as a root. x x 0 10 8 8 is a nice space-y sounding Dm7add11, and can be toggled with x x 0 12 10 10 D(m)sus4. Likewise the original xx0533 D(m)7add11 can be toggled with xx0755 D(m)add9

I think the nearest approximation to the LMLP Dm voicing would be to arppegiate on x00230 with hammer-ons to the first fret on the top string

The xxx533 fragment works well as a moveable unit because it is an interval of a 4th stacked on top of a 2nd. If you reverse that you get a 2nd stacked on top of a 4th, i.e xxx563, which is another great moveable unit. E.g.:-

Dm7add11 xx0563

D(m)sus4 xx0785

D(m)7sus4 x x 0 12 13 10

Of course, if a 4th interval is turned upside down it becomes a 5th, eg A-D becomes D-A.

Stacking 5ths on top of the open D string gives

D(m)add9add13 xx0257 (these ones get a bit stretchy!)

Shifting the stacked 5ths up the neck along a D dorian minor scale (missing out the odd one) gives

High time we had the actual voicing for the So What chord (originally played on piano). It's just 4ths stacked on top of each other! Dm7add11 x5556x Usually preceded by the same chord 2 frets higher, which over the D in the bass becomes D(m)sus x7778x

using a proper classical chord voicing rule [essentially don't double the 3rd with it's in the bass - 1st inversion]

here's D in 1st inv

and Dm in 1st inv

if you're up for it you can replace the x with a 5, but at can be a little tricky to get to / from

the thing I love with these voicings is the clarity of having just roots and 5ths above the 3rd [that's in the bass]
