Obviously, that will change the sound of the guitar, almost certainly for the worse. (Unless the maker was incompetent, which seems unlikely.)
We can probably discount changes to the top resonance, unless he has gone through braces they will likely be small.

Oh, and (pandering to my inner grammar pedant) you can't have a "new innovation", it's a tautology. "Innovation" comes from the Latin novellus, meaning new, or fresh or young. "New" comes from German and has the same meaning. So "new innovation" means "new new thing".

Surely anyone doing that would at least check for location of bracing first? I agree with BillDL that it's click-bait.
Also he was recording into a DAW so if he's competent with that (unlike me) he can tweak the track however he likes - to compensate for his compromised guitar!
