I have tried to write a post a few times saying how I feel about the weekend, I'm so grateful to everyone for the amazing time, for the kind words and the gig was the most fun I've had in years.

Will be a lifelong memory for me as my first gig, and I'm honoured to have been able to break my duck with such a pleasant and exceptionally talented and supportive group of musicians, and to have spent the weekend in a really nice town in Bob's fantastic studios.

Whatever it is about rock and roll that has captured imaginations for sixty odd years, I think this weekend got us all there.

Thanks so much all, was just brilliant!

Will try and make it a mission to not miss a TFB jam!

Having watched and listened to you lot all weekend, I've redoubled my physio efforts to get my hand working in time for the next one.

You've hit the nail on the head there. For all the variety of chaps we had along, our one common feature was a passion for a decent rock out (and acoustic-out, but, you know, that doesn't sound as good). Three chords and the truth.

There’s a few rock fans in a German old people’s home we could play for next time! I’m sure there’s a willing audience of old rockers out there !

Now that the zombie haze is lifting I can reflect on the weekend.

For all kinds of reasons, Audrey and I needed a break together and we both love Yorkshire so just being in Huddersfield was a pleasure. Our Hotel (The Edgerton) was beautiful, based in a very old building with MASSIVE rooms. Breakfast could have been better but the room we had was excellent. £55 for the night.

To meet new people is always great and to see old friends at the same time is even better but this was a real turning point for me personally. I've had a load of problems in my life in the last few years, sometimes health, sometimes mental health and other times just horrible luck with life but the last few months have been all about some fairly hard work from me to put a lot of that right. This weekend marked the point where I finally got out of the rut I've been in and I realised it's been 3 years since I played anything live which is long enough to make you feel like a beginner all over again and it did.

I've played live loads of times in my life but when you haven't done it for that long, it can feel all brand new again and that means fear as well. I wasn't one of the top players there and I wasn't the most recently experienced so I got to feel what some of the very new guys feel,... a sense of fear along with the feeling that it's going to be ok.

The support and encouragement were astounding to me, even when I played things wrong (which I did) and it has to be said that Bob was a huge part of that encouragement.

My personal favourite moment was playing 'Comfy' on Saturday night at the club. My main guitar is my Strat which one of my two best friends in the world gave to me as a gift in 2016 and until Saturday night had still never seen a stage. The applause afterwards when I realised that those people had genuinely loved what we'd just played for them will stay with me for a long time. That was a wake-up call for me and really reminded me of why I do this.

My favourite moment as an audience member was watching Ed sing 'Paranoid' and the look on his face when realised he *could* hit the notes and did an excellent job of "Fucking owning it". That was another proper moment for him and we were sat right in front of him, sharing it with him.

That really is the essence of what this is all about and I'm sure others witnessed their own "Moments" throughout the weekend. The inspiration of being around all you guys was immense for me.

That's Rock 'n' Roll and that was the best £40 I've ever spent.
