Unwanted electro acoustic Charity Guitars?

What's Hot
I have an old acoustic -a fender that plays fine that I would be happy to play if I wasn't lucky enough to play nicer ones.

I don't want to sell it - isnt worth it and no one would make any cash really from it. However its a guitar that I would have been chuffed to play as a beginner

Anyone know a charity that could re-home it?

  • Or take it to your local school. I bet there's some budding guitarist out there who'd really appreciate an instrument. (I earned mine by mucking out the pig pens at my local farm for a month!)

I once gave away an all-laminate Washburn acoustic on Freecycle that had cost me £110 many years earlier. The first guy who answered was a young music technology student and I could see from his expression that he was extremely happy to get the guitar. I was lucky there, but now I'd probably make an effort to find a charity or youth project or something to be sure.

If you give it to Oxfam make sure they know how to price it. Remember that guy who found a Martin for £100 then put it on ebay for £1000!
