What action at 12th fret and neck relief do you prefer on a Dreadnaught?

What's Hot
After having spend a while working on the action on my D28 with a couple of replacement bridges I've settled at pretty much factory spec, 7/64ths 6th string to 5/64ths 1st string with a 0.010 relief.

Any lower and I get some rattles on hard strummed chords.

Where do you prefer your action and relief set?

Right about where you have yours. Maybe a little lower at 2/32 and 3/32 but my Collings has a slightly longer scale length than a Martin so you can get away with a touch lower.

This is pretty much my bible when it comes to set ups for Dreads and flatpicking.

That's a n interesting take on it, really highlights the compromise required between action and picking strength. I guess I'm more in the Pete Townsend camp hard strummer camp.

BK is pretty much a one man encyclopaedia when it comes to acoustic guitar set up and repair.  He posts on the UMGF and his knowledge is amazing.

BK's is a valuable guide for those who approach things in an 'engineering' fashion.
I tend to 'creep up' on the ideal 'feel' of a guitar during the first few string changes.
I fingerpick and tunings so there's various 'tensions' involved and a higher
string trajectory form standard / norm due to slacker strings.
So there - Ive been no help, but just to let u know - there's different approaches.
