Colour me surprised. @Dave_Vader 's "Weekend Rockstars" is a surprisingly good read. I was expecting a descriptive narrative that was only accessible to middle aged musicians. Most of us will have that "been there, done that" feeling in the early pages. What surprised me was the quality of the writing. No curious grammar and convoluted sentences to trudge through. The characters are grown up, and their conversations are remarkably well written. It could become a film script with very little effort. I wish Dave good luck with that one, and await his next book.
