The V-front Watkins Dominator is the stuff of legend, and a very rare and collectable amp - they regularly go for more than £1,000. It has one of the richest tremelo sounds I have ever heard, and can be turned on/off using original foot switch.

Although it's 17 watts precluded it being used on-stage by the main protagonists in the "beat boom" of the 1960s, just about every famous British guitarist either used one or coveted one in the days before they were famous. An icon! The amp is in incredible condition for its age, and has been has been lovingly restored in keeping with the original spec by a UK amp expert.

2 x 10" speakers. 2 channels, 4 inputs and tremolo. 2 EL 84s provide the output power. Legend has it that Marshall "borrowed" the circuit design for their own 18 watt amps. They are notoriously wonderfulfor recording. And it certainly adds a touch of class to any stage or studio, it's a head turner!

Looking for £800, will listen to sensible offers.

Is the covering and grill cloth original? I have never seen one in that colour. Rob

As far as I know, I think it is original. I say this on the basis that there is a pic of one the same colour way used as an example of the mk1 Dominator amp on the Watkins Guitar World website.
