Who fancies this?

It'd be a Saturday. Say 3pm-ish through to 10pm-ish.

Options are 23rd / 30th July or 6th / 13th August.

Location is a village hall well off the beaten track in the middle of the beautiful Suffolk countryside. About 10mins North from the A14 at Stowmarket. Decent sized place, so there'd be plenty of room to set up kit. Plenty of parking right outside too.

Any of those dates work particularly well, or particularly badly?

Format will depend on whether we get lucky enough to find a durmmist and a basser, but at a minimum we can do amps & guitars & fxs & chats & stuffs. Beers can be brought. We can find or fetch food too.

Oh - hire cost is £7/hr, so for 7hrs = £50. Split between 20 of us, that's not a lot.

Ohh, I could do this, before I had no transport, now I have a motorcycle, so at most I could take a guitar, sadly I don't think my MJW will fit on it (even if it did I wouldn't want to have it on the back of a bike haha)

@esblonde Which Jul date would work for you?

I'm guessing Aug will be out for many, due to holidays etc, so perhaps we just focus on one of the Jul dates and go for it.

Anyone stopping over? Over 2hrs for me on 125cc wouldn't want to potentially be doing that late at night and means no beerage.

Where are you traveling from? About an hour for me, although I will be on a bigger bike which is a bit more comfortable on country roads, especially at night.

If someone is coming from your way maybe you could get a lift and/or drive in a convoy?

I'm a no for all of those dates I'm afraid. I really need 3 months' notice to have a good chance of being able to make a Saturday event. Eg I'm currently clear for 3rd 17th and 24th September if you felt the need to push the event back a bit... ;-)

Entirely unscientifically, based only on comments to date (and with apologies to @Corvus) Jul 30th or Aug 6th *seems* to be emerging as the most likely date.

So let's try that.

For anyone wanting to stay over, there's a Travelodge at Beacon Hill services (A14/A140 junction) which isn't too far from the venue.

Aug 6th is a possibility. Not sure I would want to turn up and play (not being modest, I am just no where near good enough) but turning up for a few pints of coke could be a laugh.

you would surprise yourself if you did I am sure..

last year I had never hit an acoustic drum kit nor played in public but managed to muster something up despite not really knowing the songs..
