Pulled an old Squier acoustic out of the loft at the weekend. Ive had it for about 20 years, and never done anything with it. Its been moved around through numerous house moves, never been in a case and had been 'stickered' over the years with various rubbish stickers in my attempt to make it look a bit different.
So this weekend, I decided I was going to do something for myself (for a change). I managed to get rid of all the stickers without damaging the finish, gave it a really good clean up, neck adjustment, and sanded down the saddle a little as it was still a little too high (very cheap guitar), gave it a new set of light strings and do you know what? It sounds bloody great, and plays really nicely. Couldn't put it down last night.
Ive never done anything like this before really, so although this is probably making all you experienced heads on here go...'meh', im pretty chuffed with myself. Its like having a new guitar.

I didn't think people would be interested enough to look at pictures of an old acoustic that cost me about £30 brand new from Argos 20 odd years ago. Ok, ill take some!!
