Is a jumbo hardcase the best for 000 size guitars?

Having never bought a normal acoustic in my life I am unsure, but looking at the size profiles it looks like a Jumbo case would be best.

Just to add I haven't bought anything yet I am just thinking.

No, a Hiscox Pro II 000/OM case is the best.

    :)

Damn, I just sold a second hand Hiscox OM case for £50 too :(. It was too loose a fit for my resonator…

You should be able to get something to fit fairly easily, it's at least a common size. A jumbo or dreadnought case isn't ideal, it will be too loose and the guitar will bounce around inside unless you pad it with something.

    @Antique_Guitars

I have a hard acoustic case I bought 2nd hand for my Epi EJ200CE which it does not fit,

If you want I can send you the dimensions to see if it will work for you.

£25 and postage if it is any use.

No worries @Antique_Guitars and here are the scores on the doors.

    Vintage Toyogakki Hardcase.

    Case measurements :-

Overall length 108 cm internal, 110.5 cm external)

Overall depth  15 cm internal (12 cm in bottom + 3 cm in lid) – (External 16.5 cm, 12.5 cm 4 cm lid respectively)

Upper bout     35 cm (37 cm external)

Lower bout     44 cm (46 cm external)

Around five tears in the tolex covering (one larger one, the rest fairly small)

Around 5 marks left from stickers (all fairly large but can be steamed off)

The black binding has come off the lid but is in case pocket, it presses back in nicely and should be an easy fix with some glue.

Toyogakki JAPAN stamped on case latches.

Three latches and handle all working.

The foam and felt lining inside is all in good condition.

The case is structurally sound and should last many more years.

Link to photos warts and all.

If you need any specific ones let me know and i can sort others out.

Will be out and about for a few hours so will be incommunicado for a while.

No worries if it is not for you, but hopefully it will be and help clear a space for a case that does fit my Epi.

For sure dude make sure it is suitable before jumping.

I didn't and ended up gutted it was slightly too short internal length wise for the Epi.
