So I recently was a rather stupid boy and sold my Carr Rambler to top bloke on here. It has become clear that I should have got rid of some pedals and maybe this guitar before I sold the amp, and after a month or so of trying to be happy with a lesser quality amp I just can't do it. So instead of going through a stupid amount of amps and frustrating the life out of my wife and myself, I am putting this guitar out there for trade for a quality amp.
To start with, this guitar is brilliant and I think you would have to go some to find a better example of how a strat should sound. Obviously this is a sale's thread so I am going to big up how great it is, however if he's willing, I'm sure @majorscale would also say how good it sounds and plays as he used it recently. It is in exceptional condition and has had very little use, which is a real shame as I think this guitar and I could've got on very well for a very long. This is one of the guitars that originally had a Brazillian rosewood board on but due to some laws about woods it wasn't allowed to stay on for sale in Europe, so an Indian Rosewood board replaced it. Whilst all the discussions were taking place about the guitars ability to be sold it sat in the case and some of the red colouring of the hardcase bleed on to the back of the guitar. Personally I think this looks really cool, and I even said to Doug it wouldn't surprise me if it's something that fender actually realease in a few years as a feature (hey they've done one colour over another recently, so why not).
Now as I'm at work I don't have access to pictuers of it, however to make things a little easier in the short term, here is the exact same guitar at GAK http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-custom-shop-limited-62-stratocaster-relic-with-abbys-pale-sonic-blue/120101 If you need any details as far as specs go than what GAK have put down then please just ask and I will do my best. I purchased this from Coda and am the only owner, so still have the original certificate, hardcase, case candy, and I think I may even have the very box it was shipped to the country in.
I will need to try any possible trade with my Nocaster (am in South Wales) as I am going down to one guitar and its the one that covers the most ground and I am most attached too (the strat is probably the better guitar on an individual basis). I would value the guitar at around the £1700 mark, give or take based on the condition, orignal value and that I've only had it less than 3 months.
Amp wise, I would be daft not too first go for a Rambler as selling it was the start of all this stupidness, however I would be happy to talk about the following with cash to make up the difference on either side.
Carr Rambler, Two Rock 22 Studio Pro+, Mesa Express 5:25+, Bad Cat Classic Deluxe LTD, Tone King Imperial, Morgan SW22, DR Z Maz 18, Lazy J 20
Please get in touch if you're interested and I'll do my best to make pictures available (my one is a lot nicer than the one at GAK, I played the GAK one last week, so can say for certain)

Guitar has been picked up and so I am now on the look out for an amp. Some of he money has gone on an upcoming house move, so my budget isn't what it was, more like 1200, but could potentially find a little more for the right deal
To simplify the original post these are the amps I am on the look out for
Carr Rambler, Carr Sporstman 1x12, Two Rock 22 Studio Pro+, Mesa Express 5:25+, Bad Cat Classic Deluxe LTD, Tone King Imperial, Morgan SW22, DR Z Maz 18

Ended up with a Tone King Imperial version 1, very impressed with it even after only a short time. Yes the lead channel is crazy loud and no gain is available on it at home volumes (a Dr Z Brakelite is on its way to see if that can be overcome), but the rhythm channel is very impressive and one of the nicest clean sounds I've ever used, also takes pedals very well.
A very happy medium has been reached in the Preston household
