SOLD: Marshall DSL1C 50th Anniversary
Now that my Electradyne has arrived, I only need one amp, so the one in one out rule comes into play again.
For sale is my Marshall DSL1C 50th Anniversary combo. You probably know the score with these but just a recap. This is a DSL in a 1 watt combo format which is switchable down to 0.1w via a button on the back. 8 inch speaker, classic gain (clean) and ultra gain (drive) channels which are footswitchable. Shared 3 band EQ, volume and gain controls for each channel. Has a deep button which adds bass and beefs up the sound, also a toneshift button which pretty much alters the mids and gives a more modern sound. Also has an FX loop which makes things very useful. It should be noted while being 1 watt it is still loud, 0.1w is pretty good but that can get loud too for some people.
This example does have the added benefit of a few mods to make it hopefully a bit more attractive. Firstly, the stock speaker it comes with is not the best I felt, being 8 inch vs the 10 inch that came in the JCM, JMP and JTM combos there's not a great deal of choice. However I came across someone selling some NOS Celestion G8 Vintage 8 speakers which I got one of for it. This is basically a pretty rare and rather nice 8 inch V30, with 60w power handling, made in England.
Also, the line out jack is not a line out anymore, I had Martin at MJW change it to a preamp out for plugging into a high wattage power amp, pretty effective as it sounded fantastic through the Marshall 9005 50w one I used to have at the time. It has to be at the 0.1w setting for it to work without issue. Thing is if you want it back to normal Martin told me that it is a simple easy job for a tech to do if desired.
Condition wise the amp is working fine, I got it new and it has had home use only, not really played that much at all. It is however dusrty from storage, the tolex also has a rip/nick in it at the top which Martin has glued back, again only a small cosmetic thing. It has the original packing box it came in which I'll send it in, has the box consisting of footswitch, mains lead and guitar lead, all of which have never been used and still got the ties on them. Also has the manuals/certificate/booklets.
All Pictures.
Pricewise I am aware GuitarGuitar are still trying to shift what is left of theirs new at £380, I'd accept £300, £275, £260, £235, £200 posted. SOLD.
