Axe-Fx Standard for sale. More HQ pics here.

This is one of the units with a faulty rotary encoder. I will however provide a new encoder. Replacing it is a matter of desoldering the faulty one and soldering in the new one. The following video gives a decent description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lDVBr3gKcI

I will also provide a MIdisport Uno, which allows the Axe to be used with a computer to edit presets via Axe-Edit.

Encoder aside, the unit functions perfectly. Cosmetically it’s about 8/10, as it has some small scratches on the top.

It will come in a 2U soft rack case and I also have the original manual.

Trade wise, I could be tempted by a looper, a nice delay and maybe an overdrive/distortion/fuzz that works well with bass. Would want at least 500£ on top though. Price is slightly negotiable.

Located in the West End of Glasgow. I’m keeping this local for the time being, although I could probably travel within reason if necessary.

tl;dr:
-Axe-Fx Standard, faulty encoder, firmware 11.00
-Replacement Encoder
-Midisport Uno
-2U soft rack case

  • Bump! Now £650. Will also consider trades for a small sound card and decent studio headphones.

what is the problem with the encoder and which one is it?

  • The encoder isn't as bad as the one in the video I posted and occasionally works properly, but it's usually fairly jumpy (e.g one click counter-clockwise will register as two clicks clockwise etc). It's a known issue with some units. It's the main rotary encoder, if that's what you're asking :)

  • Final bump. Changing the encoder and keeping it if it doesn't sell.
