I picked this head up as a stop gap as I searched for a suitable master volume Marshall. I've been using the amp with pedals and it's been great. It sounds absolutely fantastic as a base for pedals, or if you dare turn it to voicing 4 (Late Plexi) crank the volume and get some glorious old school crunch.

The amp is handwired to the highest standards, it is built like an absolute tank and weighs about the same as a decent sized combo, mainly down to the massive transformers.

The amp is described a refined plexi in the way it's designed, but it has the unique voicing switch. This has 4 notches and as you go through the selections it basically ups the gain. Blackstar describe the 4 voicings as follows.

1 - Fender Bassman

2 - Fender Twin

3 - Early Plexi

4 - Late Plexi

Condition wise the amp is excellent.
