UNPLANNED DOWNTIME: 12th Oct 23:45
WITHDRAWN: 1975 Traynor YGM-3 Guitarmate Reverb *** PRICE DROP ***
Great amps these, and this is a very clean example. They're unbelievable value for
money, better built than 70's Fenders and they have the
fabulous bias-modulating tremolo which is gorgeous and push out a VERY
loud 25 watts before breaking up. The cabinets are large too, so
they're not boxy at all compared to other 1x12" combos and can chuck out
a considerable amount of bass.
Lots of people mod these despite them being fine amps stock. Happily, this one hasn't been meddled with and is all stock other than the valves. The only thing I did was to replace the stock alnico Marsland speaker with an Eminence Cannabis Rex, and removed the back panel which I felt improved the tone. I will return it to factory spec before the owner takes receipt unless we agree otherwise prior to sale.
The amp is in excellent condition considering it's age - it was a birth-year amp for me, and I don't look nearly as tidy! I've replaced all the preamp valves with expensive NOS Philips JAN 12AX7's which sound excellent.
Due to the weight, lack of packaging, and lack of trust that a courier will look after this, it's cash on collection only. I'm based in West Oxfordshire but I often travel to Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and all points between so a meet up is a possibility. I do sometimes travel to Cornwall too, so that might also be possible.
