  • Dude, nice playing, great sound. Is this with the Gold? What pedal you use for drive? or is straight the amp?
    Cheers

Thanks, yes this is with the gold fitted. I really didn't rate the Creamback in it and it only lasted about a week in the amp.
I'm not using any pedals on this clip but the boost in the amp is engaged ( Which is Foot Switchable as is the Tremolo )
I'll try get some photos done as soon as possible

  • Do you need to crank the amp up to get this od sound or just by engaging the boost at any volume?
I know sounds silly but I am trying to figure out how loud this amp can be...without breaking up...from 1 to 10, do you rem de vol you had on that video?
    Cheers!

It's possible to get an overdriven tone at low volumes but of coarse sounds better when turned up a bit. On this video the amp wasn't up loud at all ( you can see lots of elderly folk sat just to the side of me so I can't have the amp cranked on this gig )
You can also set the amp so it stays clean up to very loud volumes also and I've used it on function gigs with loud bands where it stays perfectly clean for playing soul/funk/disco stuff.

Bit steep for me but I'd be interested in taking the speaker off your hands I have a dc30 but it would break my heart to trade it (and break your back to lift it!) Your band is pretty shit hot and you are a great player btw

Thanks, it's not really a set band it's just a Jazz night so we're kind of thrown together with no rehearsals.
I haven't got the original speaker at the moment but might look at getting it back and selling it in the amp, to be honest though I'd probably keep the speaker as golds are just great speakers.
Let me know if you change your mind about the DC-30 :)
