SOLD Vox AC41C. Purple Tolex with RAT Valve Mods.

Up for sale is my Vox AC41C in the purple tolex finish.

10 inch speaker, Class A tube amp with 12AX7 preamp tubes (x2); EL84 power tube(x1).

Gain, Bass, Treble, Volume as standard.  In a great condition with no damage or major cosmetic marks or scuffs if any.

Can go pretty loud as with any tube amp but with the gain and additional OPR knob you can crank it without blowing out the windows.

I sent it off to Andy at RAT Valve Amp mods in Cornwall who added an Output Power Reduction (OPR) and a heavy duty switch at the back which has the option of putting the amp in standby which is not a feature on the original amps.

OPR is basically a power soak that doesn't colour the sound of the amp unless you crank the OPR right up to really soak up the power which can make the gain really high but just back off of the volume a touch and it's fine again.  It gives that power tube saturation at a volume you can hold a conversation over!

Has all the hallmarks of the Vox sound with the bell like cleans up to raunchy high gain.
