Another resonator question
Howdee,
It's been asked over and over and from what I have seen on here, folk recommend Michael Messer or Republic resonators.
I had a tanglewood metal bodied single cone resonator before, and I sold it like a fool.
Always said I'd get another, and am hopefully getting around to it soon enough.
The choice here in Ireland is shocking enough though. I would be prepared to buy online.
Thinking of a full metal body again. Thomann is the obvious choice, but if there were stores in the UK who could ship (or I could pop over to Blighty), I'd consider it.
The parlor size resonators have my interest. I have been looking at some of the Republic demos online, and they look like near little guitars.
The one thing I recall with the Tanglewood is it was darn heavy. (it was regular sized)
I'll also probably stick one of the Lace Sensor slim humbuckers on one too.
Now, I'm not totally sold on a parlor. A regular body is fine, but I am not too sure what the story is with Michael Messer guitars in terms of where to get them.
The website isn't easy to navigate. I'm not sure if Republics would be sold on this side of the pond.
The links on their website don't seem to be of huge help. They list some stores in the UK, but when you go to the webpages, they don't seem to have any Republics in stock.
