Two excellent sounding out-of-production Mesa combo's and a Mesa Rectifier stereo rack set-up, all in great condition. See below for more detailed descriptions, and pictures. Selling as I'll be moving to a smaller place later on this year and my gear collection needs to be fairly drastically reduced if I want to have somewhere to sleep when I do, so
no trade offers please. Get in touch with any Q's, requests for more pictures etc.
Cash on collection from south-west London, near Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club.

Rectifier Recording Preamp and Stereo 2:100 PowerampBit
of a rare one this: a Mesa Rectifier Recording preamp and Stereo 2:100
poweramp. With their powers combined, they essentially give you a Mesa
Rectifier in stereo with 100 watts per side (!). Please note that the
poweramp doesn't have the valve rectification option of the Dual Rec
heads; however, the two units can be linked up so that when Modern mode
is chosen on the preamp, the negative feedback is switched off in the
poweramp, just like on the Rectifier heads. The other cool feature is
that when the solo function is engaged while in Modern mode, the
poweramp automatically switches the negative feedback back on, thereby
going into the smoother Vintage mode, perfect for soloing. In addition
to normal outputs, the preamp has special separate "cabinet voiced"
outputs for
recording, which aren't much cop to be honest, but the tone that comes
out of them is serviceable in a pinch.
I couldn't find a
reasonable video on Youtube to demonstrate this rig, but its sounds
rather a lot like the Trem-o-verb, unsurprisingly, although voiced a bit
brighter in general.
The preamp was originally a US voltage
model, but has had the power transformer professionally changed, so that
both units now run on UK voltage.
The preamp looks essentially
like new, and comes with the original footswitch in a little carry bag.
The poweramp has a small amount of rack rash and a small mark on the
front panel but is otherwise in excellent condition. Both units are 2U,
so that the overall package is not much taller than a head, but narrower
and deeper. The 4U ABS case shown in the pictures is included in the
sale, and is in good condition, but it doesn't come with lids I'm
afraid.
Sorry, but
I'm unwilling to sell the two units separately.

This amp is more than capable of classic high gain Recto tones (it has the same Vintage and Modern modes), but it also does nice mid gain ones if you use the Blues mode on the Red channel. As its name suggests, it also has built in reverb and tremolo effects which are cool, although not used much by me.
Comes loaded with two English-made Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, which are apparently made only for Mesa these days. Check out the video below (not by me) to get an idea of what the amp sounds like.
A few scuffs etc. but overall in very good condition. The loop has been modified from parallel to serial operation by me, but checked over by my tech, which means that it plays nicely with time-based effects. The mod can be reversed easily. Comes with kettle lead, detachable castors and footswitch.
Mark IV - NOW SOLDThis Mark IV combo is a revision B model, so has the stereo loop, satellite link and footswitchable reverb, and contains an EVM Black Shadow (re-labelled 12L) speaker. Excellent high-gain tones, as you would expect from an amp used by John Petrucci, Metallica and the like (which many prefer to those of the newer Mark V), but also nice clean and lower gain tones, as demonstrated in the video below (not by me).
A few scuffs to the corners etc. but overall in excellent condition. Comes with detachable castors and the original footswitch.

Great amps man.
Good luck with the sale.
He's a man of good taste if he does!
